VersaDock made its mark at the Miami Boat Show and Strictly Sail Miami last month, when, for the first time anywhere outside the UK, the company exhibited its patented DrySail™ sail-on docking system.

Chris Wilson, VP Development and Sales at VersaDock US reported a 30% increase on sales enquiries at the Miami Boat Show up from 2015 across the range of docking examples that VersaDock took to the shows. Amongst them the DrySail™ was most definitely the highlight, exhibited as part of the JBoats display providing a DrySail platform for a J70. The DrySail™ display attracted a great deal of interest from the sports boat fraternity and was a great opportunity to introduce VersaDock across the JBoat dealers.

The company, which has an office close to Miami in Cape Coral, Florida, has exhibited at Miami Boat Show several times but this was their first showing at Strictly Sail Miami.

Chris Wilson commented “We had a stand-alone booth at the Miami Marine Stadium as well as the J70 dock at Strictly Sail Miami. The DrySail™ dock was shipped across from the UK where it was part assembled at our Florida warehouse then completed and launched, then towed three miles to its display site. It was quite a major logistical operation but the Miami Yacht Club let us use their slipway for which we are very grateful!”

VersaDock’s own booth at the Miami Boat Show featured a drive on Docking System, Kayak Dock and working platform of floats. “We were also seeing a great number of international enquiries, especially from central and South America,” added Chris. “Overall we were very pleased with the result and the reaction to our stand.”
