Tram Crashes To Product Launch Bashes – METS 2019

Versadock attends the 2019 METS

Versadock has gained an enviable reputation for providing well-engineered, durable docking systems and pontoons. Proven to last in extremes of temperature and climate plus with exceptional UV stability, this has made us the perfect choice for projects all over the world.

The map below represents some of our most recent global projects.

In view of our strong international trade VersaDock attended the Marine Exhibition Trade Show in Amsterdam earlier this month. Over 1600 exhibitors descended on the RAI Exhibition Centre to offer a plethora of all things marine. During the three-day exhibition, almost 30,000 people graced the halls and absorbed everything the marine industry has to offer from tried and tested classics to the latest thinking and prototypes.

Nestled in the Marina and Construction Pavilion was the latest iteration of the new look Versadock stand. Its clean lines and strong graphics drew many people in to discuss the options of buying or representing the product. We won’t spoil the surprise yet, but we will be announcing several new distributors and agents over the coming months.

Amsterdam of course makes an excellent venue for the show with efficient transport links, an abundance of accommodation, and of course a vibrant and diverse nightlife, the variety of museums, canal tours, unique architecture, and window shopping combining to offer a truly unique experience. Our team was no exception, having a distinctive experience of their own when their morning tram crashed into a coach when merging at a junction. It would appear, however, to the locals this is a regular occurrence with the public simply filing out of the Tram and dissipating into the city to make alternative travel arrangements, leaving behind an irate Italian coach driver to argue with a nonchalant Dutch Tram driver.

METS is as much about making new acquaintances as it is about re-connecting with your existing network and customers. As the show approached closing time every day there were a number of parties springing up around the show to celebrate new contracts, new products and or course the prestigious Dame Awards. British Marine organised one of these events in the British Pavilion giving everyone involved a fantastic opportunity to network.

Now the show is over and the hard work begins to capitalise on the leads generated. Thank you to all those who sought us out at the show, we look forward to seeing you all again next year.
