VersaDock’s VPS Air-Assisted Docking System is a hit at Qatar defence show
VersaDock’s VPS (VersaDock Performance System) Air-Assisted Docking System, the advanced modular drive-on dock for heavy duty stern drive performance craft, was viewed by thousands of visitors at DIMDEX 2016, the international maritime naval defence and security exhibition held in Qatar at the end of March.
The VersaDock Docking System was hosted by VersaDock’s Middle East distributor Marsol International. Marsol, which specialises in commercial and technical marine service solutions for SPM and offshore terminals, offers the VersaDock range of modular dock solutions as part of its specialist product offer, focusing on commercial, leisure and residential applications.
Marsol International showcased the VersaDock VPS Air-Assisted Docking System, a military grade system specifically designed as a bespoke robust drive-on platform for the armed forces to accommodate large RIBs and high speed motor launches to a maximum weight of 26 tonnes. VPS VersaDock is purposely designed to give rapid docking and disembarking, allowing uncomplicated access to the water and dry docking combined with unlimited access for maintenance to the boat, engines, kit and hardware.
Francois Coetzer of Marsol comments, “The VersaDock modular floating product is ideal for the construction, leisure and private markets with specific focus on the island development in the Arabian Gulf. We received a great deal of interest in VersaDock at DIMDEX from a range of potential customers.”
Doha International Maritime Defence Exhibition and Conference which took place from 29-31 March is the international maritime naval defence and security exhibition held for the Middle East and North Africa region. It is organised and hosted by the Qatar Armed Forces.
